Win2000 advance server 的用户都知道 , 在配置成 Win2000 终端 服务器 的计算机上安装软件，必须从
“ 控制面板 ” 中运行 “ 添加／删除程序 ” ，一般常用软件如 Photoshop 6.0 、 wps 2000 、王码五笔
9801 、 3dsmax3.1 、 Flash 5.0 、 visual stdio 等常用软件都可正常安装，但用此法安装
office 2000 时，却无论如何也行不通。绝望之极，于是到 http://www.microsoft.com
转了一圈，才知道在 Win2000 server 中安装 office 2000 时，唯一的办法是用微软网上提供的 office
2000 自定义安装工具安装。
由于未见介绍这方面的资料，特向大家介绍 office 2000 在 Win2000
server 下的安装方法 :
1 、到 http://www.microsoft.com/ office /ork
下载 office 2000 资源工具箱，文件名为 orktools.exe ，文件大小为 9 ， 143 ， 832 字节。
2 、运行 orktools.exe ，将 office 2000 资源工具箱安装到 Win2000 server
。
3 、生成 MST 文件及安装所需参数：
(1) 单击开始 -- 程序 --Microsoft
office Tools--Microsoft office 2000 Resource Kit Tools--Custom
Installation Wizard ，出现 Custom Installation Wizard 对话框，单击 next ；
(2) 在 open the MSI file 对话框里，浏览 office 2000 安装盘，找到位于根目录下的
DATA1.MSI ，单击 next ；
(3) 出现 open the MST file 对话框，使 open an
existing MST file 选项为选中状态，单击浏览找到 office 2000 资源工具箱提供的 MST 文件，路径为
U:\Program Files\ORKTools\ToolBox\Tools\Terminal Server
Tools\TERMSRVR.MST （我的 office 2000 资源工具箱安装于 U 盘 ) ，单击 next ；
(4) 出现 select the MST file to save 对话框，输入要保存的文件名及路径 ( 图 1) ，单击
next ；
(5) 出现 sqecify default path and
organization 对话框，按缺省安装路径，单击 next ；
(6) 出现 remove previous
versions 对话框后，如你的计算机未安装过老版本的 office ，单击 next ；
(7) 出现 set
feature installation states 对话框， ( 如图 2) ，可根据需要取舍某些安装选项，单击 next ；
(8) 出现 customize default application
settings 对话框后，可按默认设置，单击 next ；
(9) 出现 add file to the
installation 对话框后，如不增加文件，单击 next ；
(10) 出现 add registry
entries 对话框后，按默认设置，单击 next ；
(11) 出现 add ， modify ， or remove
shortcuts 对话框后 ( 图 3) ，根据你需要进行某些快捷方式的设置，完成后，单击 next ；
(12) 出现 identify additional servers
对话框后，按默认设置，单击 next ；
(13) 出现 add installations and run
programs 对话框后，按默认设置，单击 next ；
(14) 出现 customize outlook
installation option 对话框后，按默认设置，单击 next ；
(15) 出现 customize IE
5 installation option 对话框后，将 do not install IE 5 选项选中，单击 next ；
(16) 出现 modify setup properties 对话框后，按默认设置，单击 next ；
(17)
出现 save changes 对话框后，单击 finish ；
(18) 出现完成安装向导对话框，举例说明安装所需参数及用法 ( 如图 4) 。
4 、完成安装过程。
放入 office 2000 安装盘，打开控制面板，单击添加删除程序 --
添加新程序，选择用光盘或软盘安装，单击下一步，找到光盘中 setup.exe ，指定第四步生成的 MST 文件，并在后面加上生成
MST 文件时的安装参数 ( 图 5) ，如 e:\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=U:\1.MST /qn+ （我的
CDROM 为 E ：），单击下一步，安装程序即可正常运行，大约经过 45 分钟，即可完成整个安装过程。
安装完成后，通过 Win2000 server 提供的终端服务 , 你的 486 甚至 386 、
286 打开 word 2000 只需不到两秒！
